Behind an object that may seem simple, like a trash bin, there is actually a whole world hidden.

In fact, trash bins help us every day to separate and then recycle the waste materials we produce, keeping the city clean and decorating it with taste and balance.

Trash bins for urban furniture have always been one of LAB23’s main core businesses. In fact, the company’s first flagship product, 20 years ago, was a trash bin, the TRIBIN model, which marked the first time LAB23 marketed its products in Italy and abroad.

Trash Bins for Urban Furniture

Today, LAB23 continues to produce trash bins for urban furniture, with over 30 different bins currently available in our product catalog. These include wooden bins, steel bins and wood/steel composite bins.

Let’s take a look at some LAB23 trash bin models for urban design and understand the features and differences between the main models on the market.

Crossed, designed by Stéphane Chapelet, is a trash bin designed for urban furniture, made of steel and characterized by a unique textured cut. For the production of this product, steel is used and then treated with an electrolytic zinc coating process, finished with powder coating in a choice of RAL colors.

Wood, as the name suggests, is a wooden (and steel) trash bin. Its extremely simple and natural shape makes it suitable for various urban settings such as parks, gardens and city centers.

For the production of this product, steel is used and then treated with an electrolytic zinc coating process, finished with powder coating in a choice of RAL colors. The wood used is either Iroko or Okumè, treated with natural hydro-repellent oils resistant to UV rays.

And there’s also the trash bin for urban furniture called Tower, named after its distinctive tower-like shape. Designed by the Hangar Design Group, it features a sturdy steel structure covered with a panel of exotic multilayered wood, milled to create a slatted visual effect.

As with the previously mentioned models, Tower also undergoes steel zinc coating and wood treatment.
